SLAMMY AWARD: Turn Around of the Year

From a nobody who lost the FIRST ever match in XCW to a guy who simply couldn't string together 2 wins for MONTHS here in XCW. Tyrant was a perfect picture of mediocrity here in XCW. His lone success for the first half of his career here in XCW was one title match for the European Title in a steel cage... which he lost. Finally after growing tired of being a joke including his short run in Foreign Affairs. He decided to re-invent himself and start to build something solid. With the nWo Wolfpac & Vigilantes clearly in contorl of XCW he started a faction of his won, the leader he got a new man Jaxon Jordon to join him in the new D-Generation X. Something about it just clicked. Tyrant was suddenly a power player in the company and he was only one pin away from the undisputed title. He stalked the U.S. Champion until he got him to sign a match with him. He brought in a NEW tag team into the fold and now has a group equal in size to the nWo Wolfpac. He went from Jobber to Leader, nobody to a somebody. He still has not made that last step to get on top ... but DX is rising.

Jake Watson
This man really had a tough career. He started out quickly hooking up with Alex Wolf and being a Tag team with him. He went after titles never able to gain gold ... only to be the first man to leave his faction and start the destruction of the first real team in XCW. He thought leaving would improve his standing set him apart ... it didn't . Try as he may he could never achieve his goals for months and finally lost his mind shaved his head and put on a  mask becoming The Maniac. THIS was what he needed. Not only getting rid of the bad in his life, he needed to change himself. Finally he started picking up wins and when he helped XCW clean sweep and defeat NXT in the main event of Bragging Rights he was on top of the world. He used this to launch himself to his first Championship gaining the European Title over omega in a major upset. He went on to defend his title and even pin the Undisputed Champion in the Main Event of Raw. He was truly finally on top of he world, no one could ignore him now .... but Tyson his former Tag Team Partner took that away. He was Furious ... so infuriated that he dropped the moniker and mask of The Maniac and fought once again as himself as Jake Watson and regained his European Title at TLC.

Talk about persistence. These brothers were the first tag team in XCW and they failed twice in the first month to win the titles against Wolf & Phantom. They struggled after that not getting another shot at the titles for 4 months including a struggle against each other that lead to a PPV Match against one another but survived the struggle closer and stronger than ever. Once the Wolfpac started things turned around. They started winning more and gained more confidence. After 7 long months of trying and failing even under suspicious circumstances they won there first tag team championships. They lost them & gained them back without being in a traditional tag team match and ended the year once again Tag Team Champions.
